LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - Las Cruces police have identified a man and his estranged pregnant woman who died in what’s being called an apparent homicide-suicide.

Police say investigators believe 32-year-old Jesus Manuel Rojas shot 30-year-old Bridgette Dominguez twice and then shot himself.

Dominguez’s unborn child also died as a result of Monday’s shooting, which investigators believe followed a heated argument that began Sunday evening and resumed on Monday.

Police say there multiple incidents of domestic disturbances in recent years between Dominguez and Rojas and that both had been arrested on battery charges against each other.
