IAEGER, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia Division of Highways has awarded an emergency contract to remove a rock slide that’s blocking a road in McDowell County.

Media outlets report that the work is expected to cost about $25,000.

The slide occurred on Sunday on County Route 1 between Iaeger and Panther. The road is expected to reopen Friday.
