LAKESIDE, Ore. (AP) - Coos County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Lakeside, Ore., man accused of striking his girlfriend with a sledgehammer.
The World newspaper reports (https://is.gd/vncwoA ) 43-year-old Jeffery K. Waight has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon, domestic assault, domestic menacing and interfering with 911.
Deputies say Waight’s girlfriend reported that the attack occurred during an argument. The woman’s call to 911 dispatchers was disconnected shortly before deputies arrived.
