ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - The Fish & Wildlife Division of the Oregon State Police is investigating the shooting death of a deer near Roseburg.

Police say the suspect drove to area less than two miles from the Melrose Store on the night of March 28. The gunman then shot a fawn and left it in a ditch along the side of Melqua Road.

The Oregon Hunters Association Turn-in-Poachers Reward Program has offered $500 for information leading to a conviction.
