ST. LOUIS (AP) - A federal judge has sentenced an Illinois man to 20 years in prison for offering a 16-year-old girl for sex and attempting to prostitute a 17-year-old girl.

The U.S. Attorney’s office says 30-year-old Reginald Williams, of the Chicago area, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in St. Louis.

Williams was convicted in March on numerous charges of sex trafficking.

Investigators said police in Collinsville, Illinois, received a tip in September 2012 that a 16-year-old girl was being offered for sex on a website that listed her age as 20. Police also learned that the girl was at a hotel in St. Louis County with a 17-year-old girl.

An undercover detective responded to the website ad and went to the hotel, where officers found both girls and arrested Williams.
