TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Tempe police say a 29-year-man has died from injuries suffered in a Thursday night hit-and-run accident.
Police say investigators are trying to locate the vehicle and driver involved in the accident that killed Tyler Jim Shepherd.
According to Sgt. Steve Carbajal, detectives believe the suspect vehicle to be a 2007 metallic red or maroon Dodge Durango or Dodge Nitro.
Shepherd was crossing Scottsdale Road in the middle of a block when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. It slowed after hitting Shepherd but then proceeded southbound at high speed.
According to police, the vehicle will have damage to the hood.
