SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Authorities are considering charging the owner of 10 horses found dead last month with animal cruelty following an investigation that concluded they died from dehydration.
Unified Police said Wednesday in a news release that the cause of death was determined during a joint investigation with the Utah Veterinary Lab concluded the cause of death.
The 10 horses were discovered on July 18 in a field near Magna, a city about 15 miles west of Salt Lake City.
Unified Police says the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the findings to determine if charges are warranted.
