LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A 44-year-old Lincoln man has been given 30 to 40 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl while she slept.

The Lincoln Journal Star says (https://bit.ly/1rva9AL ) a cellphone video Russell Spevak made of the assault had led to his arrest. He was sentenced Wednesday.

Authorities say Spevak had left the phone in a friend’s van. The friend’s wife found the phone, saw the video and turned the phone over to police. He was arrested in February. He eventually pleaded no contest to first-degree assault and attempted possession of a controlled substance.

Spevak’s criminal record includes convictions for making obscene calls and exposing himself to strangers.
