CASHMERE, Wash. (AP) - A horse was spooked by two motorcycles and threw its rider on a trail about nine miles south of Cashmere.
The Chelan County sheriff’s office says the man who was bucked off the horse Monday afternoon was knocked unconscious and also suffered a serious cut when the animal stepped on his hand.
The motorcycle riders helped the man and called for help. Search and rescue volunteers and medics in off-road vehicles responded and took the 53-year-old Cashmere man to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee.
The horse ran off but was found Monday evening.
