ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) - A central Indiana woman has pleaded guilty to criminal charges for bringing a gun into her son’s elementary school.

Twenty-eight-year-old Bonnie Trahan of Anderson accepted Tuesday the plea agreement for a felony charge of illegal firearm possession on school property. The Herald Bulletin reports (https://bit.ly/Yz4h0V ) she faces 18 months on probation, with requirements including that she enroll in anger control classes, not drink alcohol and surrender her guns while on probation.

Trahan was arrested in April after pulling out a Glock handgun and putting it on a table during a meeting with St. Mary’s School administrators about her son being bullied.

Trahan said she forgot the gun was in her pants and that she pulled it out to show how easy it was to bring in a weapon.
