BAY CITY, Mich. (AP) - A Bay City man has pleaded no contest to breaking into a parked car, his second such charge this year.
The Bay City Times reports (https://bit.ly/1pUgV4v ) Corey Chaperon pleaded no contest Wednesday to a felony count of larceny from a motor vehicle.
The 19-year-old pleaded guilty in June to another larceny from a motor vehicle charge. He was free on bond when authorities say he committed the repeat offense on July 29.
Court documents say police found Chaperon and two others in a car with jewelry, coins, a loaded handgun magazine, a pellet gun and GPS in their possession. According to police, several vehicles in the area looked like they had been rummaged through.
Sentencing in Chaperon’s latest case has yet to be scheduled.
