CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio (AP) - A northeast Ohio high school student has been arrested after police say he threatened classmates in a Facebook post hours before school was to open for the year.

The 17-year-old Chagrin Falls High School student was arrested early Tuesday and charged with inducing panic.

The Northeast Ohio Media Group (https://bit.ly/1vl5ofo ) reports that the Facebook posting included a photo of the teen carrying three toy guns. Police did not release the details of the written threat.

The incident did not disrupt the opening of the school, but Superintendent Robert Hunt said officials alerted parents about the incident.

Parents and school officials spotted the Facebook post on Monday night and notified police. The teen was arrested at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
