HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) - Dozens of people attended a vigil Wednesday evening for a woman who was found stabbed to death at the suburban Portland apartments where she had just started a new job.

The vigil for 29-year-old Nicole Laube was held at the Calvary Chapel Worship Center in Hillsboro where her father is pastor.

The Washington County sheriff’s office tells KOIN (https://bit.ly/1sX5c88) Laube had worked only a short time at the Commons at Timber Creek apartments in Cedar Mill. Her body was found on the ground Tuesday afternoon, and investigators are still looking for her attacker.

An associate pastor at the Hillsboro church, Matthew Dodd, tells The Oregonian (https://bit.ly/1sX5CeT) Laube and her husband Chris Laube had two children and two stepchildren. Dodd says the Laubes volunteered in the church nursery and preschool.
