Locked in a tight re-election fight, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker released a new campaign advertisement touting the latest jobs report as proof that the state is making an economic comeback on his watch.

Speaking directly into the camera, Mr. Walker says the jobs report showed that Wisconsin created more private sector jobs than ten other states in the Midwest.

“It has been ranked third in the Midwest,” Mr. Walker says. “Our opponent can try and mislead you and criticize the Wisconsin comeback. That doesn’t change the fact that we are moving Wisconsin forward.”

A Rasmussen Reports poll released earlier this month found that Mr. Walker holds a 48 percent to 47 percent lead over Mary Burke, a Democrat, among likely general election voters.

Mr. Walker is often mentioned as a possible candidate for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination.
