PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - A 35-year-old woman is charged with kidnapping for allegedly taking her father from a Pueblo assisted-living center.

Police say that 57-year-old Apolonio Fierro was kidnapped from the center where he has been court-ordered for medical reason. Fierro was found in the home of his daughter, Vesenta Alana Fierro.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports (https://bit.ly/1paWfGO ) that the daughter was charged with second-degree kidnapping and crimes against an at-risk adult. She was in Pueblo County jail Monday without bail pending a court hearing.

Police say the daughter had made comments in the past that she would assist her father in committing suicide if he were ever placed in an assisted-living facility.
