NEWARK, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police say two officers and a motorist were injured when a Jeep rear-ended the officers’ patrol vehicle.

It happened about 4:20 p.m. Monday on Four Seasons Parkway in Newark. Police say the fully marked cruiser was traveling west when it was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Albert Lech of Newark.

The officers were treated and released at a local hospital. Police say Lech was admitted to the hospital.



The accident is under investigation.
