BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Police say a Vermont woman accused of driving under the influence of a drug had one child with her in her car while two others were left in a motel unattended.
Kathy Hastings of Bennington pleaded not guilty Monday in Vermont Superior Court to driving under the influence of a drug, and three counts of reckless endangerment. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer.
The Bennington Banner reports (https://bit.ly/1lbnu2Z) a police officer saw a vehicle at a gas station with the female driver, identified as Hastings, going through a series of spasms.
The officer learned from Hastings that her other children, ages 11 and 14, were at the motel. They thought someone was coming to watch them.
