RENO, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have identified a 31-year-old woman who was found dead in her Washoe County jail cell over the weekend.
Washoe County deputies say Reno resident Kerry A. Roop was discovered at about 5 a.m. Sunday. Officials say she was ordered to serve 48 hours in jail after failing to comply with a previous court order and had been booked on Friday.
Investigators say there were no signs of foul play and no suspects in the case. The Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to determine why she died.
