Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley is heading back to New Hampshire next month, stoking additional speculation about his presidential aspirations.

WMUR reported that Mr. O’Malley will drop into the first-in-the-nation primary state to keynote a Portsmouth City Democrats dinner on Sept. 26.

WMUR said that this will be Mr. O’Malley’s third trip to New Hampshire in 2014 and fourth in the 10 months.

While others have taken more of a wait-and-see approach to whether former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will enter the race for the Democratic nomination, Mr. O’Malley has been active in the early primary states.

Mr. O’Malley visted Iowa twice this summer and The State newspaper reported this week that he is sending members of four aides from his O’Say Can You See PAC to South Carolina to work on the races — making him the only potential 2016 Democratic candidate to do so.

South Carolina marks the third stop on the nomination calendar, after Iowa and New Hampshire.
