PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - A Prescott-based health care provider has been acquired by a national company.

The Daily Courier (https://bit.ly/1ocdVkX) reported Wednesday that Altius Healthcare has been sold to Amerita Inc.

The announcement of the July 1 sale was made this week. Terms of the sale are not being released.

Altius was established in Prescott in 1990 and provides home, outpatient and hospice services such as medication and nutrition.

Amerita specializes in infusion pharmacy at different locations nationwide.

Altius founder Kevin Nestrick says Altius will retain its name and remain based in Prescott.

Altius serves 200 customers in the area. Nestrick says their services will not change with the new ownership.

Amerita is a subsidiary of PharMerica, which reported Tuesday more than $440 million in revenues for the quarter.
