Real estate website Movoto has released a map showing which individual dominates each state in terms of personal wealth.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates, a Washington resident, takes the cake with $80 billion, making him the richest person in the country.

At the other end of the spectrum is McKinley Capital Management founder Robert Gillam, an Alaska resident, with an estimated $700 million.

Heirs to the Wal-Mart empire dominate three states: Jim Walton, son of Sam Walton, takes Arkansas with $35.7 billion. Jim’s sister, Alice, worth $35.3 billion, dominates in Texas. And Christy Walton, Sam Walton’s widow, is worth $37.9 billion in Wyoming.

Charles and David Koch dominate Kansas and New York respectively, worth $40 billion each.

Movoto used wealth data from Forbes and Celebrity Net Worth to create the map.

“No matter the source of wealth, or home state, there’s no denying the extreme gap between the mega wealthy and the average American,” Movoto reported.

“Our final visual presents an interactive map which helps to illuminate the huge dichotomy between the mega-wealthy and the average wealth of regions around the country,” the report concluded.
