OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Omaha police say a woman in the southeast part of the city was shot before her car was stolen.

Police say the woman met an acquaintance and drove him to a gas station Tuesday night. They say the woman got out of the car and the man shot her in the wrist before driving off.

Police say they found her Nissan Altima about one hour later. They say they’ve taken one person into custody.



The woman was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police haven’t released the man’s name.
