BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) - A water main break in Bellevue’s Eastgate neighborhood was followed Wednesday by a break in a natural gas line at the same location.

City utilities spokeswoman Wendy Hairfield says a crew from Puget Sound Energy shut off the gas so water crews could fix the 6-inch line.

Twenty-two homes were left without water temporarily but the city says water was restored by late Wednesday afternoon.

The water main break didn’t cause any damage to private property.

Puget Sound Energy says eight homes were without natural gas while repairs were made.
