ELKINS, W.Va. (AP) - An inmate at Huttonsville Correctional Center faces more time behind bars after pleading guilty to having drugs in the prison.
The Inter Mountain (https://bit.ly/1zw9iFZ ) reports that 59-year-old Gary Allen Gibson entered his plea Tuesday in Randolph County Circuit Court. His sentencing is set for March 5.
Gibson pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance by an inmate at a state correctional facility.
Gibson’s ex-wife, 58-year-old Sharon Kay Gibson of Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a felony conspiracy count. She was sentenced to one to five years in prison.
Randolph County assistant prosecutor Richard Shryock says Sharon Gibson brought marijuana into the prison and gave it to Gary Gibson during a visitation.
