BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) - Police kept a close eye on about 30 people who staged a protest inside the Bellevue Square Mall during a busy holiday shopping time Saturday, but made no arrests.

The group protested the recent killings of unarmed black men by police. They chanted and staged a “die-in” in the mall’s center courtyard.

Police and mall security guards warned them that they were trespassing on private property and could be arrested.

Bellevue police said the protest remained peaceful and that the group eventually left the mall, marched outside and dispersed.
