CORNELIUS, Ore. (AP) - The owner of a crowing rooster in Cornelius was fined $750 Wednesday for a noise violation.

The municipal court judge also told Megan Keller she’d get an additional $1,000 fine unless she found a new home for her pet, named Mr. Rooster, by Saturday.

The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/GLBELO ) Keller has received a total of six noise citations and missed a deadline last month to move the bird.

Keller says she’s very close to her pet. When she bought it she thought it was a female.
