HAMMOND, Ind. (AP) - Police in northwest Indiana say they believe the death of a 37-year-old man found in a Hammond alley is related to a 25-year-old man being fatally shot while driving on Interstate 80-94.
Hammond police Lt. Richard Hoyda tells The Times of Munster (https://bit.ly/1G1myEL) he believes 37-year-old Terrill K. Fenderson of East Chicago and 25-year-old Dominique Wright were shooting at each other on the highway in Gary on Thursday night.
Wright was apparently able to keep driving for about a mile before crashing into another vehicle and coming to a stop on the highway’s berm in Hammond.
Fenderson was found Friday morning less than a mile from where Thursday’s fatal shooting took place.
Hoyda would not comment on if police believe anyone else was involved.
