KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - A Bullhead City, Arizona, police sergeant has pleaded not guilty in one of two cases where he is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Nevada.

The Mohave Valley Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1vCgZcK) that 37-year-old Jesse Samuel Hoag entered the plea during his arraignment Thursday on two counts of sexual assault.

Coconino County prosecutors say the 11-year veteran police officer took a student from Mohave Community College, where he taught a class, to a Laughlin bar on Oct. 3 and assaulted her in a parking lot.

Hoag, who has been on paid leave, was also arrested Nov. 3 by Las Vegas police for attempted sexual assault. Police say he attacked a woman Oct. 22 in a vehicle outside a Laughlin bar.

That case is pending in Clark County court.
