SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A man who allegedly lobbed about 30 golf balls marked with racial slurs at a Shreveport fire station has been booked with criminal mischief.
Shreveport police say 45-year-old Christopher Bret Sheldon, of Shreveport, also was booked with possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Sheldon remained jailed Saturday. It was not clear whether he had an attorney.
The incident occurred Friday.
Goodin tells The Times (https://bit.ly/1dUTXQr) that a golf ball landed near the Queensborough fire station while officers were investigating the original report. They chased and caught a man carrying a golf club and what police say appeared to be crystal meth.
KTBS-TV (https://bit.ly/1bNDDkJ ) reports that homes in the area were briefly evacuated after police found something they thought might be a bomb. The fire department says it was not.
