BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) - Authorities from various St. Louis, Mo.,-area agencies are investigating a weekend shooting death in the southwestern Illinois city of Belleville.
The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis reports that police responding to reports of gunfire Sunday found Darrin Hayes II wounded in an apartment complex across from the Belleville Crossing Shopping Center.
Twenty-five-year-old Hayes later died at a hospital.
There’s no immediate word about any arrests or charges.
