GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - A 50-year-old Brockton man has denied a first-degree murder charge filed in the stabbing death of a Poplar man last month.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (https://gftrib.com/1enY5bV ) David Lewis pleaded not guilty Tuesday during a hearing in U.S. District Court in Great Falls.

Lewis is charged with killing 21-year-old Armon Boyd on Jan. 15. Fort Peck tribal officials have said Boyd’s body was found in Lewis’ residence after his family reported him missing.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Keith Strong ordered Lewis continue to be held at the Cascade County jail. A trial date has not been set.
