GAUTIER, Miss. (AP) - A municipal judge has determined there was enough evidence against capital murder suspect Nicholas Marcel De Morst, accused in the Jan. 14 drug-related killing of a Biloxi man, to send the case to a grand jury for indictment.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1lu7Rjd ) the 23-year-old De Morst appeared before Municipal Judge Jason Thornton on Monday for a preliminary hearing in the case.

De Morst is accused in the shooting death of Hunter Miller. The underlying felony in the capital case is armed robbery.

De Morst remains jailed without bond pending indictment. Attorney Calvin Taylor is representing him.

Also arrested in the case was 24-year-old Freddie Lee Lawrence on a charge of accessory after the fact to capital murder.
