NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - A Collier County judge says a murder trial later this year of a man accused of killing his wife and five children will be “graphic.”

Mesac Damas is charged with six counts of first-degree murder. Authorities say the 34-year-old Damas is accused of cutting the throats of his wife and five young children in September 2009 in their home in southwest Florida.

The Naples Daily News (https://bit.ly/1bjUe5g) reports that Judge Ramiro Manalich questioned prosecutors Monday about whether they’d considered limiting the number of crime scene photos jurors would see.

The trial is expected to begin in early October.

Despite an early confession, Damas now claims he did not stab his family. Damas told the newspaper the killings were an “out of body experience.”
