PENFIELD, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 58-year-old business owner has died after a pickup truck rolled over him as he tried to fix the vehicle along a suburban Rochester road.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office tells local media outlets that a man was doing snowplowing jobs Monday when his pickup had a malfunction. Deputies say he pulled over to the side of the road in Penfield and called his boss, Michael McNulty of Perinton, who owned the vehicle.

Police say McNulty was underneath the truck attempting to repair it when the pickup rolled back on him.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

McNulty owned a landscaping business based in East Rochester.
