YORK, Pa. (AP) - Jurors are hearing arguments in the trial of one of two men accused of having killed a homeless man who was sleeping in his car in central Pennsylvania.

Authorities in York County allege that 24-year-old Shamar McCowin and 20-year-old Malcolm Bull were looking for someone to rob in York and targeted 46-year-old Edward Green, a restaurant cook who was living in his car behind a house where some friends lived.

Prosecutors allege that McCowin opened the door and started shooting at Green, who fled but later died of multiple gunshot wounds. Police said the robbers took off in his car and later torched the vehicle.

Defense attorney Marc Semke told jurors Monday that Bull, not his client, killed the victim. Bull, who has also pleaded not guilty, is awaiting trial.
