BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) - A southwestern Illinois man is jailed on $5 million bond after being accused in the shooting death of his roommate.

Prosecutors in St. Clair County charged 21-year-old Mohammed A. Abuharba of Cahokia with murder in the death of William E. Harriel Jr.

Authorities say 26-year-old Harriel was found dead Feb. 6 on a street outside the residence he shared with Abuharba. Investigators say Harriel had been shot in the head.

A possible motive for the killing hasn’t been released.

Online court records don’t show whether Abuharba has an attorney. He doesn’t have a listed home telephone number.
