PARK HILLS, Mo. (AP) - A southeast Missouri man is accused of posing as an exterminator to gain entry into apartments and steal medication.

The Daily Journal in Park Hills (https://bit.ly/1ogqXvn ) reports that 26-year-old Justin Burns is charged with four counts of theft of a controlled substance. The Farmington resident is jailed on $60,000 bond, and online court records show he requested a public defender Tuesday.

Park Hills police say four people reported in late January that Burns entered their apartments, saying he worked for a company that turned out to be nonexistent. Police say while in the apartments Burns stole prescription medications.

Burns told police he was working to get a pest control business started. He was arrested late last week.
