OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - The Senate has approved a measure that would increase the number of superior court judges in Mason County.

The chamber unanimously passed the measure Wednesday and it now heads to the House for consideration. Under the bill, the number of judges would increase from two to three.

The position would only be added if the county approves it and agrees that it will pay for any increased costs from the position without state help.
