OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Republican U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin has announced his appointment to the House Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee.
Mullin says the appointment means he will no longer serve on the House Subcommittee on Water and Power.
Mullin says his new assignment will benefit Oklahoma and his Second Congressional District because of the existence of four Fortune 500 energy companies in Oklahoma and the fact that part of the southern leg of the Keystone XL Pipeline runs through the district.
