GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a Huntsville man they say led police on a high-speed chase.

The Gadsden Times reports (https://bit.ly/1kOgV4o ) 27-year-old Chandon Marquis Mitchell faces charges of attempting to elude, reckless endangerment, driving with a suspended license, driving down the wrong side of the road and driving under the influence.

Mitchell was in the Marshall County jail on $4,000 bond. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had a lawyer.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy spotted a car driven by Mitchell going the wrong way on a divided highway around 11 p.m. Sunday. The deputy stopped the vehicle, but said Mitchell drove away and led police on a chase. Authorities say Mitchell lost control of the car, hit a curb, trees and a bank before the car flipped over.
