BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police are investigating as a homicide the death of a Michigan State University student found on an area highway.

Dustyn Frolka was rushed Saturday night to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing where he was pronounced dead.

Police in Clinton County’s Bath Township say they received a 911 call about 10:20 p.m. about a person “lying in the travel portion of I-69 at the East Lansing exit.”

Frolka was in respiratory distress, and a passing motorist who is a nurse stopped and began first aid.

Officials have not released a cause of death for the 19-year-old sophomore from Owosso.
