JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - A large brawl on a light rail train in Jersey City left two people injured and five people under arrest.

New Jersey Transit officials tell The Jersey Journal (https://bit.ly/1gBDZQz) that the fight broke out around 9 p.m. Monday night at the Marin Boulevard Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Station. But it’s not yet known what sparked the brawl.

One person was stabbed in the fight, while another suffered facial lacerations. Both were taken to a hospital, but further details on their conditions were not disclosed.



Deaven Johnson, a 34-year-old Jersey City resident, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, child endangerment and interference with transportation. Four juveniles were charged with disorderly conduct.
