BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A Boise man who pleaded guilty to not telling authorities about an illegal poker house run out of a rental property he owns has been sentenced to 120 hours of community service and a year of probation.
The Idaho Statesman reports (https://bit.ly/1dMeImo) that 57-year-old Skinner “Skip” Anderson II on Tuesday also received a $2,500 fine in U.S. District Court.
U.S. District Attorney Wendy Olson says Anderson acknowledged trying to hide an illegal gambling operation that he knew was operated from a house he owns southwest of the Idaho capital city’s downtown.
Authorities say Anderson found about the illegal gambling when a person who lost his rent money in a poker game called to complain.
Anderson questioned the renter of the home and found out about the gambling, but didn’t report it to authorities.
