OGDEN, Utah (AP) - A 49-year-old Utah man is facing multiple child sex charges after a North Ogden mother alleged he tried to lure her son into an intimate relationship with an offer of e-cigarettes.

The Standard-Examiner reports (https://bit.ly/1hvbTcV ) that 2nd District Court Judge Noel Hyde set a May 7 trial date in Ogden for Charles Randall Redwen.

Redwen pleaded not guilty to 14 felony charges including sexual exploitation of a minor and dealing in materials harmful to a minor, and one misdemeanor count of acting to entice, solicit, seduce or lure a minor by Internet or text.

Riverdale police say Redwen admitted sending text messages including photos of himself to two teenage boys, and investigators reported finding photos of a teenage boy on Redwen’s cell phone.
