BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) - A boil advisory has been lifted for Burlington and West Burlington following a water main break over the weekend.

The state Department of Natural Resources says the advisory was lifted Wednesday morning after two sets of water samples tested clean for bacteria.

One of two water transmission lines leading from the Burlington Municipal Waterworks broke Sunday and caused parts of the system to lose water pressure.

Officials are still investigating what caused the break.
