BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) - A suspected shoplifter who collapsed while fleeing from a grocery store in Belfair later died at a hospital.
The Kitsap County sheriff’s office says a loss-prevention employee confronted the man just before the store closed Sunday as he was rolling a shopping cart out the door loaded with alcoholic beverages.
The Kitsap Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1jHfbGX) he ran off, jumping over two fences. A deputy arrived and found the man on the ground. He and the store employee performed CPR, but the man died Monday at a Bremerton hospital.
