GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) - Police arrested a 27-year-old transient Wednesday as the fifth person suspected of holding a developmentally disabled man for two days in a Gresham apartment while they accessed his bank account.
The five face possible kidnapping and robbery charges in the abduction of the 34-year-old Portland man. He told police he was blindfolded and handcuffed to a bed or a chair and forced to give bank account information.
A tip led to his rescue Friday by a police SWAT team. He was not injured.
