MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A Mobile woman convicted in the death of her infant son has been sentenced to two years of probation.

Tomeka Moody of Mobile appeared in Circuit Court Thursday. She was charged in the death of her 6-month-old son after he was ejected from a car they were riding in during an accident in late December of 2010.

Authorities have said the child was improperly restrained and the crash was linked to an improper turn moody made at an intersection. The boy suffered a cracked skull and ribs in the crash.

AL.com reports (https://bit.ly/1ebGrIP ) Judge Ben Brooks suspended yearlong prison sentence for two years of probation saying that he realizes that for Moody, losing her son is its own form of punishment.
