LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) - Neydja Petithomme had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead Boca Raton Grandview Prep to a 45-32 victory over Sarasota Christian in the Florida Class 2A girls basketball championship game.

Grandview Prep (26-2) took control of a competitive first period Thursday with a minute remaining and took a 15-10 lead into the second period.

From that point, the Pride systematically increased their lead and kept a safe distance from Sarasota Christian (26-2), who trailed 28-16 at halftime and never got closer than eight points in the second half.

Grandview Prep put the game out of reach in the fourth period when baskets by McKenzie Lantz and Summer Burgess extended the lead to 41-25.

Nadiah Isaac added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Pride while Heidi Miller led Sarasota Christian with 13 points and six rebounds.
