PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine were discovered in a storage locker that’s tied to a former Clackamas County sheriff’s detective accused of drug trafficking.
Clackamas County Sheriff’s Lt. Robert Wurpes says William Floyd Marsh Jr. was arrested Feb. 14 in Chicago by Kane County deputies who found $80,000 in cash hidden in toolboxes and two handguns. A search of two storage lockers in Illinois turned up 55 pounds of marijuana.
Wurpes says the heroin, cocaine and meth were found Wednesday at a storage locker near Portland, and detectives arrested a possible accomplice.
The 56-year-old Marsh retired from the sheriff’s office six years ago and lives in Creswell, Ore.
He is to appear in court Friday in Illinois. Court records don’t list an attorney.
